Legend of the Eight Samurai is a very strange surreal fantasy story
almost in an anime type fashion. Sonny Chiba (Kill Bill) guest stars
in the movie as a samurai swordsman, but you don't see him too much.
All together this film is a dud. The story isn't good enough to keep
you hooked, and the special effects just aren't convincing making
some scenes look plain silly. If your into the strange fantasy type
of Kung fu flicks with terrible sound tracks, then this is right up
your alley. Otherwise, stay away from this film. To weird for me and
very dull. I almost had to force myself to finish watching it.

Set in feudal Japan, the story centers on the lone survivor Princess
Hiroku Yokoshimaru, whose entire family and bodyguards have been
wiped out by evil power seekers.
All that stands between the princess and death is a young martial art
master played by Sonny Chiba. Using little more than determination,
Chiba must fight an army of ghostly warriors, a witch and a centipede.
