. Contract Killer is a decent flick, but not one of Jet Li's better films. The movie starts off interesting enough, but gets worse as time progresses. I bought it and was a little disappointed. It does have it's moments, and some funny comedy as well. It's not an all out terrible film, but it just doesn't work like some of Jet Li's more popular movies. And some of the sound track is just plain annoying. When you hear "I'll bust you and I'll bust your friend" in the opening credits after you see a Yakuza boss get killed... doesn't work. It works in movies like Exit Wounds, but not here. An OK movie, but don't be prepared for something like Fist of Legends.

. A Japanese Yakuza boss is killed and his family puts a hit out on the man who killed him. But a lowly hitman (Jet Li) tries to take on the job as the Yakuza's hitman for the reward. He teams up with a so-called agent that cons his way into the Yakuza's circle. The 'agent' shows him around the underworld as they look for the killer. After a series of run in's with the bad guys, Jet Li is also targeted for death. After he finds out the killer is actually a cop, he teams up with him to take out the Yakuza.
