The Bodyguard is more of a gangster/kung-fu flick than anything else. Even
though I'm not fond of those type of movies, I found this one to
be watchable. It's pretty interesting with a good amount of action.
Like most of Sonny Chiba's films, you can find this one very cheap.
If you're a Sonny Chiba fan, you'll definitely enjoy this film. For those
of you who don't know Sonny, most of his movies have a more realistic
kung fu style, much like Bruce Lee's movies. This is one of those. I
would consider the Bodyguard not really good, but not bad either. But
since you can easily find this dvd/vhs for under $5, I'd say it's
worth it.

Set in New York City, Japanese and American mobsters are at war
causing death and destruction everywhere. Attempting to help make
sense of the conflict, a martial arts hero (Sonny Chiba) throws
himself into the middle of these murderous gangs. Death and destruction
follow as Sonny slowly wipes out the drug dealers and end the war.
