The Policy of the KUMRC with Regards to Live Steel and Weaponry
In order to maintain the safety of KUMRC members and visitors to the KUMRC, the Executive Board has enacted the following rules and regulations regarding live steel weapons.
* Weapons must be stage-combat weapons.  No authentic (real or sharp) weapons are allowed.
* Weapons must be sheathed.
* Weapons must be piece-tied.
* Weapons must be secured to their carrier at all times.
* Weapons may not be drawn in a crowd.
* Anyone drawing a weapon must say Clear! in a highly audible tone.  This lets others around you know that a weapon is being drawn, and that they should stay clear.
* No weapons may be drawn if a child is in the room.
* Most of all, USE COMMON SENSE!  If you dont have it, you shouldnt have a weapon in your hands.

IF A RULE IS BROKEN:
FIRST OFFENSE: The offender will be asked to leave the event and will not be allowed to carry a weapon at any KUMRC event for the remainder of the semester.

SECOND OFFENSE: The offender will be banned from the KUMRC indefinitely.

These rules will be strictly enforced by the Executive Board!

Although they may sound harsh, these regulations not only ensure the safety of KUMRC members and guests, but also help the KUMRC avoid any legal problems with Kutztown University, or local and state authorities.
