My mum was a gypsy from England and my father a Celt from Western Ireland. They met and fell in love through a gathering outside Dublin Castle. My father proposed a month later and the next day wed. They went back to my fathers homeland. For years I was raised in Ireland and soon learned both heritages. Dancing gypsy ways with jingles and celtic dancing from my father. When I was 16, my mum decided to return to her gypsy minstrel caravan with the acceptance of my father (whom came with). For 2 years, we danced and sang around Ireland and England until an accident in which both my parents were killed. I was 19 and alone. Then I met Erin McElliot (Laura Weaver) and I found friendship that I longed for. She could continue the story on how we came here. Rest assured that her words are not always written well. |
