PERSONA HERITAGE: |
|
Faramond's ancestors originally hailed from Western Germany during the formative years of the Roman Empire. During the time of the Roman Expansion the Brand family followed the tide of people moving east, resting for a time in Bremen before sailing across the sea to Northern Scotland. Eventually the family settled in Glasgow, setting up a small smithy specializing in swordsmithing. Eventually the family took on the name Macbrand to better fit in to their new homeland. The family became rather well-to-do over the years at the smithy, and they invested in a multitude of different shops and buisnesses from which the family prospered. |

Faramond was born in late summer of 1563 in Stirling while his parents were visiting relatives. He grew up mostly in Glasgow, but spent much time in Stirling where there was more room to play in the woods nearby. He enjoyed the wild life, living in the woods with nothing more than a sword, bow, knife, rope, and flint and steel. His strange behavior was never fully accepted by his money-loving family, who thought that he should learn the family trades. Faramond quickly learned different crafts and tasks, but never found one that he loved most, prefering dabbling in everything. His true love was battle, and he never failed to learn anything he could from anyone willing to teach. During his late teens a band of English briggands moved into Scotland, pillaging and plundering as they saw fit. Faramond collected a group of his closest companions and sought out the villains, slaying them to the man in a wolf-pack maneuver of his own design, earning him the title "The Ebonwolf" which became his personal standard. From that point on he was refered to as "Wolf", and decided that merchant life wasn't for him. After a heated arguement with his parents, Wolf left home, traveling wherever he could, picking up new friends and new skills whereever he could find them. |
