In 630 Bors' family was raped and murdered by West Saxon invaders marching towards the capital. Bors placed the dead women, last of his kin, on the funeral pyre. Keeping with the old ways his mother and grandmother had for so long instilled in him he then packed up his possessions and left the farm and woods he had known for so long. But before he could leave this place he swore by blood over the ash piles of his family to never let another women be slain defenseless again so long as he was there to stop it.
With his father's axe, last used against the brute who killed him this axe had a history before that bezerker, its name was "Chest Biter" after his fathers affinity for trying to cleave his enemies in two from chest to waist. It had seen many battles and had ended the lives of many law and oath breakers. Such was the reputaion of Bors' father as a peace keeper and judge. Bors also carries a large warhammer owned long before by his grandfather which was called "Head Crusher" and was said to have crushed a Viking cheiftain to a un-recognizable heap after threatening his mother in his grandfather's prescence,
Bors started to make his way across the Celtic lands, defending women and slaying those who sought to abuse them. He was employed by a "witch" as she was known to her townsfolk but after she realised the power of one so large with weapons and a will like Bors had she exploited him. By filling his head with lies about her love for him and the need for him to help her gain power. Bors did love her but she only used him and when she didn't need him anymore she discarded him, banishing him from the land. Now he wanders the land still protecting women and girls from any harm that may become them. Unfortunatly, his trust for females may lead him unwittingly to do the wrong thing.
