"home" is a relative term - right now I'm living in Connecticut
WHAT HAS THE KUMRC DONE FOR YOU?
Friends turned to Family, Fear became Faith, Forgotten was made Familiar
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN KUMRC:
(Alumni) Member from 1994 - 1998.  Active Associate member 1998-2000.  Fleeting Associate (you'll see me at Dinner, Faire & I participate in the YahooGroup & will teach classes if contacted) 2000 - Current (duh, I'm in Connecticut).
ANY OTHER PERSONAS:
I've gone by "Ariel"- that was back in my gypsy stage and Gwyn (until I found out that in period times using a "y" in a Welsh name was reserved for Males).  Then there are some of the Characters I've played in dinner or faire... most memorable?... Sister Amelia the year we did a medieval murder mystery (1996 or 97?)
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS:
too many to name them all....  but I can tell you what I'm NOT good at....
I suck at acting, hate to sew, and look retarded when I bellydance - other than that.... pretty much anything is fair game
PERIOD SKILLS:
QUOTE: I'm the Goddess of Ass-Saving!
AFTGOTO:
I'm willing to come teach classes for University Weekends on a variety of subjects... let me know what you want and I'll let you know if I can do it!  Some of the things I can prepare to discuss for an hour or more:
- CPR & First Aid  (I'm an American Red Cross Instructor and will happily run certification classes or presentations)
- Scottish History (pretty much any time period, I have tons of books to reference - just don't ask me about garb)
- Persona Creation ("How to create a persona that fits who you are, doesn't sound like a D&D character and may actually be historically plausible")
- How to be a good delegator  (A.K.A. - Lists, Laughter and Lies)
- Feastocrating 101
- Autocrating 101
- Medieval Medicine & Cures
- Religious Influences and Trends (just name the time-period & location)
- Where to draw the line between historical accuracy and reenactment
- Drama on the DMZ - components of effective recruitment
- Drawing on your Resources - how to recruit speakers and teachers without fearing them "taking over" the club
- The "Average" Middle Ages   (Across the time periods were there EVER more nobles than peasants? more pirates than lords? more men than women?  more fools than scholars?  ETC ETC ETC!  -  A.K.A.:  Realism in reenactment)
- Moats, Trebuchets & Hot Boiling Tar - Tactical Defense in the Middle Ages
CAN I RESEARCH OTHER TOPICS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T HAVE TIME TO DO IT BECAUSE YOU'RE STUDENTS - YES!   Just ask!
