Born in the 1570's, Keely was granddaughter to the Pirate Queen, Grace O'Malley. Often accompanying her grandmother on voyages Keeley took quickly to the sea. At the age of 16 she was made first mate on the ship, Cailleach. During her first voyage as first mate, the ship was attacked and the captain killed. Taking command, Keely and the crew beat back the assailing marauders. She has been an influential captain in her grandmother's fleet since then, and is now fleeing her father's requests that she settle and marry. |
