Inspiration: Well, this drawing believe it or not was inspired by the song "Yubiwa" performed beautifully by Maa'ya Sakamoto in the Escaflowne movie. At the time, I really liked Van because this was not long before FOX 11 started airing the series on TV. So naturally I became interested and attempted to draw him obsessively. Anything you wish to do over: I don't like his body pose at all. It looks a little awkward.. but at least his hand doesn't look too bad. And his skin tone is a little too dark. I think I was experimenting with acrylic paints here. I DO like the fish though. |
