About the Families
This 60 minute ethnographic video explores the nature of intimate relationships in lesbian households in American society. It addresses how relationships within a lesbian family function, and how the relationship affects different family members. This documentary consists of three 20 minute segments.
The first story examines a single mother and her two teenage children. It focuses on the relation ship between the mother and her children, and how the ex-partners influence the children.
Story Two looks at a co-parent's interactions with the children, her partner, and the ex-husband. The focus of the story is how the co-parent fits in to an established biological family.
The third story explores a couple's feelings about each other, motherhood, and their relationship with their adopted daughter.
