Cruciform Injection
"Epilogue" CD
Negative Gain Productions

Album number four from this crew brings us more and better crushing rhythms, mixed with dark and melodic synth lines all tied together by a stong set of vocal chords that have just a touch of Thirwell-esque style. A tough and sometimes gravelly vocalist chants about religion, war for oil and other problems with the human existence. The band's strength in production quality is present, as is typical for them, in this release.

The Cruciform Injection sound borrows a lot from classic EBM but still has a very modern boot stomper feel to it. They even use trance like sounds and production without getting watered down like most others that attempt such a mixture.

This album includes a bonus of several remixed tracks tweaked by Pzychobitch, E-craft, Neuroactive and Filament 38 (the notes on this promo say Haujobb will be added to the final version). Each takes a track either from Epilogue or from a previous album and gives it their own twist.

One question remains...Is this album an epilogue to human existence itself or is it simply a way to wrap-up the previous three releases and point us toward the future? Either way, if Cruciform Injection is around, I'll keep listening.
