Alien Sex Fiend
"Information Overload" CD
13th Moon Records

The Fiends are at it again and on their own terms. While the Fiend Club numbers may have dropped slightly during the "Inferno" and "Nocturnal Emissions" days, "Information Overload" will surely tickle any fan's fancy...and possibly some other regions as well.
Alien Sex Fiend have kept their early sounds in mind while taking control of modern technology and using both wisely. On 'Information Overload' the Fiends work the electronic and trance realms further and much better. Songs like "Gotta have it" and "Voices in my head" show us that fun can still be had on the darkened dance floor.
But they also like to throw in a message or two. The title track seems to be a social commentary on the world we live in during this information age. The release ends with a cover of the Doors', "Five to One." Often seen as a call to revolution it's more a commentary on the lack of action. Are the Fiends telling us with all the easy access to communication and information using it to "trade" music might not be its best application or is it possibly a call to alter the insurgence of Big Brother.
Until then tune in and drop this disc in your player fast, ASF is back and still running with scissors and big bananas in the acid mad-house crowd!

Unfortunate for many world wide, "Information Overload" is currently only available at the Alien Sex Fiend website, though distribution is in the works. But, it's truly worth the price and they shipped my order out very quickly.
