| For Wes He was slight in stature.. A wiry sort of man. His hair sprouting wildly from his head at times... And from his chin ..a wild and wooly beard that put one in mind of a crazed mountain man. He was by his own definition a redneck.. Pure country from head to toe. He loved George Jones and trucks .. And blue jeans .. And messing around with cars.. And bowling. There was nothing about him that could be described as sophisticated. A simple man.. with simple pleasures.. He took great joy in loving his wife.. Playing with his sons. Holding his grandchildren. laughing with friends. He embraced life as the gift that God intended. For the most part he was a quiet soft-spoken sort. He never felt the need to shout to put his point across. He made no demands for respect.. But he received it .. from anyone who ever knew him. He never tried to be anything .. but who he was.. And those who have had the blessing of knowing him loved this quiet gentle man. He may never be in the history books as one who did anything of great importance.. But in the hearts of those he touched.. he will always be a hero. For he fought the battles of his life with a grace and quiet dignity that far surpasses the common man Through his pain.. he smiled.. and never let go of what was important to him. He will always be the husband.. The father.. The brother.. the friend. He will always be the one who's light burned brightly.. and forever will ...through those he loved . He rests now in the arms of Jesus.. freed from the shackles of his pain. But the legacy of love he leaves behind shall never be dimmed the light continues to burn.. And we will never forget.
