| Night Train Fantasy Train Whistle in the dark.. is there a lonlier sound? it echos in the valley .. and reaches me here alone in my bed. Where is it going? Why does it make that mournful wail? Does it shed tears as I do now? It chugs along westward bound... closer to the place where you too lie alone in the dark. I imagine myself on board.. looking out into the darkness.. and thinking only that each foot of the track brings me closer to you.. closer.. closer still. to lie in the dark with you.. and listen to the sound of a distant train. and for that moment.. I am happy again. Train whistle in the dark.. Is there a lovelier sound? |
