Rolland and Florence Joanne

Rolland Glen Kuhlmann born Jan. 18, 1934. After high school took a few months of telegraphy training, Worked for the CB&Q/BN Railroad as an Agent/Operator and safety officer for 39 years. Rolland and Florence Joanne Miller (born August 18, 1937) met during a work assignment at Morrowville,Kansas. They were married on June 1, 1955.

Due to the transient nature of his occupation, the family lived in many locations in Nebraska, Kansas, Wyoming, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and Texas. After retirement they moved to Caņon City, CO where Rolland become involved in Prison Ministry in most of the dozen prisons. He also spends much time in his woodworking shop, building cabinets, etc. After several years of doing other volunteer work and the church Joanne also become active in Prison Ministry.

A favorite pastime for both is Hiking, Biking and heading South for the winter with their RV. Florence Died on July 6, 2006 after fighting Cancer for a year.

They have 4 children Crystal, Marlan, Grant and Evan, which they dropped off along the way as they moved to various railroad positions.

      • Victoria Graece born March 26,2005.
      • Daniel Jacob born March 26, 2007.
      • Timothy Joseph Ray born March 20, 2009.
    • Benjamin Louis Schmitz born Dec. 19, 1978. Married March 6, 1999 to Lisa Hansen born July 19, 1975. Lisa has a son, Joshau, born January 20, 1994.
      • Miranda Marie born July 9, 2000.
      • Casey Allen born May 7, 2001.
    • Noah Christopher Schmitz born Dec. 16, 1981. Married July 17, 2004 to Melissa Sue Mascarenas, born August 15, 1981.
      • Emma Joy born June 20, 2005.
      • Avrey Lucas born June 27, 2007.
    • Sarah Christine Hartman born July 19, 1988. Married May 10, 2008 to Jonathan Earl Hartman, born October 27, 1988.
    • Matthew Danial Schmitz born Jan 17, 1991
  • Marlan Scott born Dec. 18, 1959. Married on April 25, 1987. to Sharon Gina Filreis, born April 14, 1963. Marlan and Sharon have three children.
