PARSONS CONT.
   The Arboretum boasts a Memorial Tree Trail; The Wetland Project funded by Western Resources and built by the Southeast Kansas Audubon Society; a gazebo provided by the Parsons Amateur Woodworkers Society and an Operation Bright Touch flowerbed.

   The visitors center is owned and maintained by the City of Parsons and the Arboretum Board.

   Many people helped to make the dream of the Tree Board of Parsons come true, but none more than Earl Siefert.

   Earl has been active with trees all hislife. He has many young men from his Boy Scout years return to the trees they planted as youths. Of that he is justifiably proud. He is a tree planted, tree hugger and a tree promoter. The KUFC thanks him.
