TRUTH.
What is Truth? We can come up with all sorts of answers, ideas and concepts. What is Truth for one person may be lies to another. On the other hand, it's common for us to say " 'freedom of choice' " is truth, I chose to disagree with what you chose to agree with, it's MY Choice, MY Truth." And this sounds so politically correct, doesn't it? So why does the world seem so... full of lies? Probably, because it is. The Holy Bible (NKJV) is often referred to as the Living Word of God. The best-selling book on the planet, year after year. So far, for every question I've seeked, I've found answers in these scriptures. John 14:6-7 reads, ~ Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him." Oh how those words are alive & real to me. Roman 3:23 ~ "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." All of us have sinned & come short of what God requires. There is a penalty for sin, Romans 6:23 ~ "For the wages of sin is death..."
If you work 40 hours a week, what do you expect on payday? (wages). GOOD NEWS!! Christ has already paid the penalty for your sins! Romans 5:8 ~ But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Before I accetped Jesus as my personal Lord & Saviour, I still believed it would be better to be safe than sorry if what the bible says were really true. But after years of rebellion and avoiding the issue, God met me at that dead end street (that my own choices landed me), where I knew I had to make that final choice-- the world, or Him. After confessing and dedicating my life to God, the changes that He has made in me will forever be my confirmation of what the Truth really is. I could have NEVER done for myself what He has done for me. He has placed a faith and love in my heart that can not be taken from me, and for that, I will be forever grateful.
