Chapter 3--Apparation::
"So there is a way to bring back dead people after all!" Ron exclaimed. Harry had told them everything that he's heard in the meeting.
"But Dumbledore's right, Harry, you mustn't do anything rash. It could be dangerous," said Hermione. "The Orb is kept by the Department of Mysteries, there may be other secrets about the Orb, and we don't know what's guarding it, for all you know it could be guarded by dragons."
"Oh, that wouldn't be a problem, I'll just as Hagrid," Harry said simply.
"Or Charlie," Ron added.
Hermione opened her mouth to speak, and the closed it. "Oh, Hermione, chill out! We've handled dangerous things before, haven't we?" Ron said, stuffing a Chocolate Frog into his mouth.
"Yes, we have. But-" Hermione began.
"I'll bet we can get past whatever's guarding the Orb with no problem." Ron said, swallowing the frog. They heard foot steps approaching Sirius's room. "It's Mum!" Ron exclaimed. The three of them changed the topic of the conversation as Mrs. Weasley walked past the door.
"Yes, I've passed every subject on my O.W.L.s" Hermione said.
"Lucky you! I failed everything except Defense Against the Dark Arts and Care of Magical Creatures. My Auror dream is going down the drain, oh well, at least I can still be a teacher or something." Ron said, forgetting about their original topic. "What about you Harry?"
"Well, I passed every subject I needed for Auror training." Harry said.
"I had to endure a two-hour lecture from Mum! While Ginny got to buy a cat because she's a Prefect!"
Ginny walked into the room just then, "Well, I deserved it! Anyway, Harry, Dad wants to see you downstairs."
Harry went downstairs to the living room, accidentally ripping the curtains open in the hallway and a shriek filled the house, "Filth! Scum! By-products of dirt and vileness! Half-breeds, mutants, freaks, begone from this place! How dare you befoul the house of my fathers!" Mrs. Weasley came into the room and cursed.
"Sorry..., I forgot that the portrait's there," Harry apologized.
"Ooh, that's okay, Harry, dear. Arthur's waiting in the yard, but we have to do something about this painting!"
"Filth! Scum! By-products of dirt and vileness!"
"Oh, SHUT UP!!" Mrs. Weasley roared. "Silencio!!" The portrait silenced down. "That's better. Now go, Harry, Arthur's waiting."
Harry went into the yard, the sky is clearing and the sun is high in the sky. He saw Mr. Weasley along with Moody and Lupin, chattering. Mr. Weasley noted Harry's entrance and walked up to him, "Ah, here you are, Harry! Now, Alastor, Remus, and myself are planning on giving you Apparation trainings."
"Apparation?" Harry said. "But I thought-"
"Yeah, you're not of age yet, that's for sure," Moody growled.
"Then what-"
"But Dumbledore thinks that Apparation is important for getaways," interrupted Lupin. "Especially during Dark times like this. He has gotten permission from Fudge to teach his pupils Apparation before hand."
"Now," Mr. Weasley said, pulling Harry forward. "Apparation is quite easy, actually. All you have to do, is concentrate on the place you want to go and say 'Teleportate' Although most wizards can do it by just thinking the spell. Now, Harry, try to Apparate to that tree over there." He pointed at a tall pine tree.
Harry concentrated hard as images swam across his mind. There was the pine tree, and the fence around the yard, the muddy, dank and dirty ground, and the three wizards standing around him. The pine tree. Harry thought to himself. "Teleportate!!" He shouted. For the slightest second, he felt his body burning. Right after that, he evaporated into smoke with a loud crack! and there was another crack! as he felt himself materialize, his body cool down, and he was standing right next to the pine tree.
Moody stared, Lupin had a wide smile across his face. Mr. Wealsey strode over to Harry, "Well done, Harry! I thought that you'd need help too, but apparently I was wrong!"
"Er, help?" Harry said.
"Both Ron and Hermione did it wrong on their first turn. Ron's arms became detached from the rest of his body while Hermione Apparated just a bit too far. That why I asked Mad-Eye and Remus to come, in case some accident happen. But no..., you did it perfectly! Once again, well done!" Mr. Weasley sounds overly excited.
Ron and Hermione had also came downstairs to congratulate Harry. Mr. Weasley took out a piece of parchment and a quill and wrote: "Harry Potter successfully passed the Apparation test on this day the twenty-third of August" He took out his wand and pointed at the parchment and said "Teleportate!" And instead of him disappearing, the parchment disappeared.
The trio looked in amazement. Seeing this, Mr. Weasley smiled. "I'll teach you guys how to teleport other object or people later on."
Mrs. Weasley stepped out of the house, "Lunch is ready!" She said to everyone, and people of the Order started to Apparate to the house, while others stepped out of the various rooms.
The next few days passed with out much incident, unless you count Fred and George spilling their fourth cauldron of stew through the Levitation spell. August thirty-first came, and there was chaos within Number 12, Grimmauld Place. People are running all over, packing up and assigning jobs of tomorrow's guard duty at King's Cross. At last, when the mayhem have ended, Harry went to sleep, but the sleep was restless.
He dreamt that he was moving at a high speed, the sceneries about him was nothing but a blur. Yet there, in the middle of an unknown lake, the tallest and darkest tower he has ever seen, the top of it surrounded by dark and ominous clouds. Harry was traveling through the tower, fighting all sorts of terrible dark creatures. He reached the top of the tower and there was a glowing sphere of light, he heard Voldemort's shrill laughter, Sirius's image stepped out of the sphere of light. Then, before anything else could happen, he woke up, not remembering any part of the dream.
