An old Korean saying, translated, "A frog in the well", will be the defining staple for this website. Its meaning is simplistic yet powerful. We are a species who have been given limitless opportunity to expand our minds. For us to choose living a closed life within our own well, we are limiting ourselves from what the world outside the well has to offer. Taking that initial horrifying jump out of our own well takes courage, but once freed from the stale water, a world without walls, without limits, awaits.
As I continue my spiritual, worldy, and scholarly explorations, I would like you to join in my adventures.
We will encounter various roadblocks as we travel deep into self-discovery, but together we will break through and continue to redefine what it is LIFE has to offer.
The opportunity to embrace and experience other cultures, beliefs, understandings, rites, and worlds is something, that I believe, is the most significant and amazing thing about the human species. Not taking advantage of these moments moves us farther away from, what should be, our ultimate goal:A Common World Understanding.
Imagine the possibilities of a planet that took the best attributes of each culture and infused them into our refined mental and physical survival patterns as human beings...Nirvana.
Although I am just starting what will be an amazing journey (mentally, physically, and spiritually), at the age of 27, many things that I haved invested time, energy, and heart into will be the seeds of my lifelong growing tree. Through mistakes, success, exploration, fear, joy, the unknowing and the obvious, I will try help myself, and others, discover the true potential of the world around us.? Coming from St. Paul, Minnesota and now living in San Diego, California, I returned in the summer of 2001 from a years travel to Northern Asia teaching English.
But, don't get me wrong, this site (and myself) is not all about deep, though-provoking, intriguing thoughts about misunderstood philosophies and digging into the depths of every inquery that I may have(though I have been known to ramble from time to time), :) ....it's about having fun, meeting new people, traveling, partying, spending time with loved ones, and trying to help whoever reads this understand what it is I am all about. (I told ya I can ramble!) I will try to keep it updated, but don't be too disappointed if it is not... I am planning on creating a whole new web page with areas for all to enjoy.
