| This is a full-year course in the mathematics necessary to prepare for the study of pre-algebra. Students in this section of 5th grade mathematics experience an honors level course with opportunities to practice, review, and apply skills and concepts learned. Topics covered include a operations with whole numbers, fractions, mixed numbers, and decimals, including facility with operations using many forms of numbers and transformation between many forms of number, including percents. In addition, students will study measurement, introductory statistics and probability, and basic geometry. | ||||||||||||||||
