ROWENA:

"How are Greg and Fyord? And would you like some help in turning your husband into something slimey and faintly smelly? It's been years since I've been able to turn someone into something slimey and faintly smelly."

MIKI BEHEMOUTH:

"They're alright, alright. Very supportive of me and Shinobu, you know. They're like fathers to her...in a way" Miki frowned, wondering if that was an adequate comparison.

She then smiled sweetly.

"Oh, your assistance shan't be necessary--I do have to clean up my own business now and then, Rowena" she remarked, sincerely.

ROWENA:

"I suppose I'll have to find someone else to turn into something slimey and faintly smelly." Rowena said with mock disappointment. "All I have to do is find a way to crack all those protections on Lucius..." her face lit up with the thought. "Sometimes, the best fathers for a child are those that are chosen, and not the one's they were born to. How's working for the Man been?"

MIKI:

Miki blinked.

"Working for--? Lucius? Oh, I think I might have misled you" Miki smiled a bit, not showing her teeth. "I'm working against him, not for him."

ROWENA:

Rowena shook her head. "Totally different topic." she assured Miki. "The Man refers to The Government. Lucius is The Pig." She chuckled. "Too long amongst the Werewolf Underground. Its eroded what little faith I had in government."

MIKI:

"Oohh," Miki nodded, comprehension dawning. "Yes, I would think so! Well," she brushed off some imaginary dust that seemed to have appeared on her sleeves, "It's the same thing. I'm working against them, too, if you think about it. At least, some of the more odious officials, the Pig included" Miki grinned.

KAEL:

Kael was bored.

Of course, he hadn't tried to relieve that boredom through homework. Not in the slightest! Idea hadn't occured to him, and probably never will.

He was currently ignoring jibes made by a certain prat (who goes unnamed), when he jumped up from the chair, nearly knocking said unnamed prat out of the way. "Kayla, ho! Where've you been off to?"

SHINOBU:

Shinobu, (currently not looking much like Shinobu at present time), snuck out of the Ravenclaw common room, and into the hallways. It was a feat she hadn't been able to explore--afterall, she had be careful not to spill her secret! She giggled along, tugging her currently short mousy-brown hair, and stopping at a window to see her much changed appearance.

"Brilliant" she smiled, and continued along--

"Ha!"

She bumped into someone unexpected--

"La? Luna?"

ROWENA:

"And the more people working against him, the happier I am. So, what's it like working for the Ministry?"

MIKI BEHEMOUTH:

Miki dismissed the air with a wave of her hand. "Tedium! Droll, drab, the rot. At least, the first job was. Not to be said that international affairs are boring things, but--Ooo" she groaned in frustration, "It's always tedious to have someone looking over your shoulder. That Percy! Incorrigible brat that he is, thought I wasn't good enough for it. Wanted to bring that aspect into his own job...not to mention multiple others, at that. Rraarg. Pesky brute of a boy..."

She sighed.

"At least this new job is much, much more fun."

DEAN:

Ron smiled. "So, you must really like her then, huh?" Ron inquired, tactless. Hermione smiled at Ron.

"I what?" Dean's face was heating up, but he attempted to look as innocent as possible. Of course, Ron's reaction wasn't angry, so he seemed to be in the clear. Unless Ron had suddenly learned the ever tactful fake out.

...

It was Ron. He was fine.

"Well, blimey, mate! You must look at her a lot to get this good--how do you do it?"

"How do I look at her?" Dean kept his eyes riveted to the sketchbook page. "Er, with my eyes?"

LUCIUS:

"Our son was being escorted to the infirmiry last I saw him, in the care of Miss Parkinson." 'And if you think for a second, twit, that you can blame this on me, you've less brains than I've given you credit for! You're the one who is so attached with the idea of Draco at Hogwarts, even with the incompetent teachers they continue to hire!'

"I suppose, now that you've taken the time to come all this way, that you would like to see him?" 'You shall force yourself along, completely ignorant of anything that's occuring around you. I've the situation under perfect control, as you well know but are loath to admit, and you will come and become hysterical at the slightest glitch!'

Cordially, Lucius offered an arm to his wife, though his eyes spoke disgust at the situation. Now he needed to take Narcissa out of here too. She was far more trouble than she was worth.

RON + HERMIONE:

Ron slapped Dean on the back.

"Hah! I meant, the drawing" he came back, sharply.

Hermione rolled her eyes.

"It's good for you, Dean" she began, when she noticed something odd in Ron's eyes.

Dean wasn't the only one, afterall, who looked at the one they liked a lot.

/Is that a...scheming light?/ Hermione mused, amazed.

But...it was Ron.

It couldn't be.

Neither of them realized it, but Ron had a perfectly good WTKTLSOOTSM Ron idea. It was brilliantly wicked.

"I support you all the way, Dean" Ron said. "You should ask Ginny out, even!"

/Heeheehee...try and steal Ginny away somewhere I can't protect her now, Malfoy!/

NARCISSA:

Narcissa glanced at her husband coolly. "Of course I want to see my son. Since I'm here." /Thanks to your incomplete, inconsequential, misleading and otherwise horrifically disturbing letter! Not that you're capable of writing better, you pompous dim-witted feeble arse-kisser!/

Narcissa smiled, and took the arm in hand. "Hmm" she said, following where she knew the infirmary would be, "What exactly has befallen our son? Your letter failed to mention." /Expend no trivialties, keep it to the point, and in less than 17 words! Otherwise, I'll pin your head to the wall, you cowardly, evasive dolt!/

KAEL:

KAYLA:

Kayla snuck up behind him with a throw pillow in her clutches, and playfully smacked the backside of his head with it.

"Ha! A silencing charm? Looks like it didn't last very long. Of course, knowing your chattiness, that's no surprise."

Amidst the laughter of some of the other hufflepuffs in the room, and some nods of assent, Kayla plopped down next to Kael. One of the best things about being a hufflepuff, was that the couches in their common room were the softest in all of hogwarts--even softer than those of the faculty.

"How'd you get someone to hex you like that anyway?" She inquired, letting the curiosity get the best of her.

KAEL:

Kael made an even deeper frown.

"I was just talking to Shinny, and she blew up at me" Kael protested silently. "It's not like I deserved her wrath!"

He turned to Kayla, eyes sad.

"She even said to me, 'You usesless moronic and otherwise psychotically eccentric bean! I'm studying!' Shiesh! Ravenclaws and their books!"

Kael plopped down on the couch in mulled thought.

"How was your day?" he asked Kayla.

SHINOBU:

Shinobu walked around.

Well, Shinobu under a very good disguise.

She decided that she'd had her fun waltzing around in her altered self (tall, short brown mousy hair, smaller eyes), and decided that she should prolly go back to the Ravenclaw common room before sup.

She hurried along the passage, doing her best to avoid suspicion, when she bumped into someone--

"Ack!"

HERMIONE+RON:

Hermione blinked.

Well, that was odd.

She wasn't expecting Ron to...well. Say that about his sister.

/I thought he wanted to.../

"Ron?" Hermione asked, tentatively,"Uh, don't you think that Dean can make his own decisions on who he dates? And, um, Ginny...well, Ginny's not one to have her dates picked out, is she?" she asked

Ron laughed.

"Hah!"

Hermione crinkled her nose.

"I wouldn't be so sure, Hermione--she went through so many in her fourth year, afterall" Ron said, seriously.

Hermione's face turned red. And not the warm, fuzzy kind.

"Ron! Shame on you for talking about your sister that way!" she yelled, and then stormed out of the room.

Ron stared out at her, wondering what the heck he had said wrong.

"Whu?"

Then she stormed back in, and snatched up her books and notes.

Then, after casting Ron a very stern glare, she stormed right back out again.
