This indenture made this 30th day of November AD 1869 between S. J. Fincher M. E. J. Fincher, his wife, of Anson County State of N. C. of the first part and J. T. Lowry of the same County and State aforesaid of the second part witnesseth That the said S. J. Fincher and M. E. J. Fincher, his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars cash in hand the receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged hath bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presents doth bargain, sell, alien and convey unto the aforesaid J. T. Lowry his heirs and assigns forever a section, tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the County of Anson State of N. C. on the waters of Dead Fall Creek known as the Rosana Moor place bounded as follows: Viz' Beginning at a stake in the Wadesboro Rode - D. A. Covington corner and runs with Mrs. Tempy Watson's line South 32 east thirty nine chains and fifty four links crossing Dead Fall to a ded (dead) poste oke the beginnings corner of an old 400 acre tract granted to James Lowry by a paisle (passel) of saplings pointers then with Lowry's line south 60 west ten chains and seventy two links to a stake then with Lowry's other line south 29 west fifty-three chains to a stake on Lowry's old line three black Jacks post oke and hickory pointers then north 15 west twenty one chains and eighty four links to a stake in the field then north 16 west thirty-seven chains to a stake in the old rode then post okes and four hickories pointers then with the various courses of said to the beginning containing two hundred acres more or less excepting one half acre immediately around the family grave yard to have and to hold the said J. T. Lowry his heirs, executors and administrators and assigns the said land and premises and every appurtenances and every part and parcel thereunto accompany and the said S. J. Fincher and his wife, M. E. J. Fincher, doth for themselves, their heirs, executor and administrators consent and agree to warrant and forever defend the aforesaid land and premises and every parcel thereunto belonging to the said J. T. Lowry, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever free and clear from the legal claim of any and all persons whatsoever - in witness whereof the said S. J. Fincher and his wife, M. E. J. Fincher, has hereto set their hands and seals the day and year first written. Signed, sealed and delivered in presents of - T. Redfearn, A. Fincher, (U. S. I. R.
