HoBo Joe's... what a classic name! We stopped here to buy fireworks for Forth of July on Blue Mountain Lake. Nice and illegal.
This
would be South of the Border. If you haven't been there, you're truly missing
out. There's a giant sombrero water tower, about ten giant flamingos, a mini
golf course named "Golf of Mexico", an Antique Store, a Hat store, Pedro's El
Drug Store, etc.
Check out the Pedro's Billboards that I faithfully recorded for 64 miles.
Yes, I am sitting on top of a giant alligator. Yes, I am sitting in front of a giant conch shell followed by a giant flamingo. Yes, that is giant man in a sombrero holding the South of the Border sign.
I saw
three back-to-the-Future cars in a row on the Interstate. I guess somebody has
to want one.
