Gryphons are mage creatures created by Urtho, the Mage of Silence. Half lion - half eagle/falcon they are all mages to at least a small degree. Gryphons can have many occupations, including field-healer, kestra'chern and silver gryphon. There are two breeds of Gryphon. Those based on Eagles and those based on Falcons. There are less of the latter but they do exist. Gryphons are all at least minor mages and live in eyries in the rock of White Gryphon. Gryfalcons are generally smaller and nimbler, they have hand-like claws meaning they have to attack with claws bunched. They often have more endurance. Silvers are not listed on this page.
