Physical Description –
Arrow's tall, about 5'9, and very slender, with thin, long-fingered
and graceful looking hands. He's very handsome, with a generous mouth
that almost always seems to have at least a hint of a smile playing
around it, bright green eyes, dark brown hair down to mid-back and
pale skin.
Personality –
He's charming, funny and silver-tounged, but if someone annoys him, he
gets a dangerous glint in his eyes and a sharp manner, which usually
makes people leave him alone to cool off. But most of the time, he
friendly and quite entertaining company.
Brief History –
Arrow was born to a blacksmith, Hardhammer, and a jewel-carver,
Ros'ella, both of whom were into the mid-fifties when they had him.
They may have been good people, but they soon discovered that they had
no tolerance for children, especially not one like Arrow, which
explains why they took so long to have him in the first place.
At the age of fourteen, Arrow discovered he was Shay'a'chern and since
he saw no reason to hide it from his parents, he told them on the
spot, much to their great disappointment and frustration.
Arrow's mother and father were never the sort of people to accept that
sort of 'weirdness' in people, let alone in their own child, so they
made frantic attempts to change his mind and convince him that he
actually wasn't Shay'a'chern, but being who he was, he didn't change
his mind in the least and he made no effort to hide it.
Later, as if to spite them even more, Arrow chose to apprentice to a
male Kestra'chern, which in his parents' eyes, was the very last
straw. They renounced their 'stations' as his parents and kicked him
out.
The only 'person' from his childhood who stayed with his was his
elderly nurse, a Kyree called Eana. Soon after he was born, or when he
was old enough not to need his mother close all day, Eana took over
his education, which was probably the only reason he grew up properly.
So having lived with him for most of his life, it was natural that she
should come along when he left home.
