| Our Melanie arrived on the Friday before Mother's Day: May 11, 1979 at 12:23 pm. What a wonderful "Mother's Day Gift. She was born at the Naval Hospital, Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. Melanie's Father, Hugh, was stationed at nearby Marine Crops Air Station New River, in Jacksonville. Melanie weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. and was 21 inches long. |

| Melanie Was such a happy baby and always smiling. I never had any problems with her. She was such a good natured baby. She was never very fussy and she ate and slept well too. Melly As Melanie grew, so did the joy. Everywhere Melanie went she seemed to spread laughter and love. She was such fun to be around, always giggling and laughing, you couldn't help feeling happy too. |
