More Lights
Left to right: Carpenter-Light emergency lantern (Two #6 batteries), Roflan Navy Lantern (Two #908 batteries), Delta Navy Lantern (Two #6 Batteries). The Carpenter is made of cast aluminum and has a socket on the bottom wired to a relay inside. When the lantern is plugged into 120VAC, the lamp remains off. When the power fails, the relay closes turning on the lamp. The yellow lantern, made of fiberglass reinforced plastic, replaced the Delta lantern on Navy ships in the 1970s. It uses a sealed-beam bulb. The Delta lantern dates back to the 1940s or 50s and is made of sheet steel..
