Only known member of the race is an adolescent named
"Barash" encountered on Alpha Onias III by Commander Riker from the
Enterprise-D. The child related that in the late 2350's to early
2360's his planet was attacked by an unknown race.

Barash's mother fled their planet and hid him on Alpha
Onias III in a
cave equipped with specialized neural scanners that provided anything
the child would need - except 'real' companionship. He kidnapped
Commander Riker and created a 'family' with himself as Riker's
son. When Riker revealed that the creation was false, Barash was
welcomed on the Enterprise-D and presumably turned over to Federation
authorities to be adopted.
