--------------------------------------------------------------------- Usagi vs. Minako? (part four) by Karsa Rated PG Sailor Moon is copyright © 1992 Naoko Takeuchi/Kodansha, TOEI Animation. English Language Adaptation © 1995 DiC Entertainment. (in other words, I don't own SM. But I will. Oh, yes. I will.) Also, "Mission: Impossible" belong to a big company that’s not me. Thanks for NOT suing. Guys, a quick note here (I'll do the rest of my prattling at the end.) But this is set somewhere else.. like.. another reality. Anyway, on with it. And just so you don't get confused or lost, the exchange students are- Martin Natalie (Natty, or Nay-nay to annoy her.) Chen Hannah (Hannah-banana, if you want the get mauled.) Alpert Erin (Eggy or any variation, like Eggerina, Eggers, etc.) Terrell Mark (He's just Mark. and sometimes Murk, but I'm the only one who calls him that.) Watanabe Justin (Just Justin. He and Natalie are in love. He’s not really an exchange student, though. Check part 3 for more on that.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ‘That was close,’ Aino Minako thought as she escaped down the hall. If it hadn’t been for that tall stranger, she probably would have to face the five people who had made a fool of her. She smiled as some appropriate ending words from an American sitcom popped into her head. ‘Who was that masked man?’ she thought idly as she slipped into her seat in homeroom. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Dammit!" Eggy yelled, punching a locker. "Owwwww.." "Its not your fault, Eggy-chan," Usagi told her. "If we hadn’t gotten distracted by.. um.." "Me?" a male voice asked behind her. "Um.. that depends. Are you Watanabe-san?" Usagi asked, turning around, and blushing profusely. "Yeah," he answered. "And I'm sorry. My timing has never really been the best.." "Its okay, I guess," Usagi replied, but we'd better get to class. Meet me at lunch?" "Cool," Natty said before heading to her first class, her hand clamped securely in Justin's. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "The time: Lunch. The place: Juuban High School The mission: make-" "Hannah shut up," Mark snapped "I was just trying to set the mood!" she protested. "Can you set the mood a little more.. quietly?" Eggy asked. "Sure!" Hannah replied, before beginning to hum the theme to 'Mission: Impossible'. "Shhhh! Here she comes!" Usagi whispered urgently. "Act natural!" "How can six people hiding behind a tree look natural?" Justin asked. "Does it really mater? Just TRY," Usagi told him, before she stepped out from behind the tree. "Aino-san," she said, looking Minako in the eye. "I'm sorry." "Do you think that makes it better?" Minako asked. "No. But does it make a difference?" Usagi answered. "That depends. But I'm sorry, too. For the hair thing.. You're a really nice person but when Koji decided to forget me like that.." Minako began to cry, the tears taking well-worn paths down her cheeks. "I thought if I could hate you my life would be easier to endure.." "Its alright, Aino-san.. if you're willing to start over, then I am too," Usagi said, grinning. "Alright," Minako replied. "But you may want to tell the Americans that they can come out from behind the tree." ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ One year later... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Merry Christmas, Justin-san!" Usagi smiled, as she handed him two packages. "Thank you Usagi-chan!" he smiled, handing her one back in return. "Tell me, do you miss Natty and Eggy and the others?" "Yes," she replied honestly. "how could I not?" "Good point. How long were you hiding Nay-nay's present?" he asked, holding up the package he was about to open. "Since they left," Usagi told him. "By the way-" she began, but was cut off by the ringing of Justin's doorbell. "IIIIIIIIIIIII'LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL GGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTT IIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!" Justin's little brother, Bryce, yelled as he ran to the door. "He's got a set of lungs for a 12-year-old.." Usagi grinned, "but I can still hear out of my left ear." "Minako-san! Ami-san! Makoto-san! Rei-san! And.. uh.. who-are-you-san?" Justin and Usagi heard Bryce saying to the people at the door. "Hello, Bryce-chan," replied Ami. "These are some friends of ours. Don't mind them." "Come on in, girls!" Justin called from the living room. "Why thank you," he heard a male voice say, in English. As the girls entered the living room, their arms full of presents, he saw a tall man with them. "Mamo-chan?" Usagi asked, jumping up from the couch. "MAMO-CHAN!" she screeched, running into his arms. "Merry Christmas, Usagi," he said, kissing the top of her head gently. Justin sighed, thinking of his Natalie. "NAY-NAY!" Bryce called out, before a voice tried to shush him. "Natalie?" he asked, turning around. "Yes, Justin," Natty replied. "Its me. Merry Christmas." Unable to contain his happiness, Justin jumped up and hugged his girlfriend tightly. Minako looked at the two couples that were embracing in the middle of the room. "Marry Christmas, you two.." she said. Usagi looked up, grinning. "Thank you. And to think, a year ago, we hated each other." "C'est le vie, non?" Natty asked. "Oui," Justin answered, before kissing Natalie gently. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Minako had just had one of the best years of her life. Thank god she had forgiven Usagi.. for doing nothing. The exchange students had gone home, but for Justin's present she had arranged to bring his Natalie back for a visit. Smiling at the other girls, Minako moved to take her place in the group where she could now say she truly belonged. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sorry if the ening was corny.. but it passed the Wynn test!! :) This is the last instalment. (duh) Thanks for reading. I'll come out with something new.. someday. I'm gonna take a litle time off, though. Sorry if you liek my writing, but I need a break. Karsa kt2003@yahoo.com
