Athame, Chalice, Charcoals, Holy Water, Alter
Cloth w/Pentacle drawn in the center, Powdered Chalk, Incense & Burner,
Altar Candle, Chime, Penticle, Salt, Matches, 5 Candles in glass so as
not to blow out. Any other items specific or particular to the spell to
be cast once the circle is cast, that is, for your spells within the circle.
Be sure you ALWAYS cast your circle properly
before practicing any magick ritual. It ISEXTREMELY
DANGEROUS to practice magik of any flavor with half knowledge.
We urge you, if you are a novice, or are unsure of your skill, power, or
operation, PLEASE seek the assistance of someone who knows. WITCHCRAFT
IS NOT A GAME. We post these spells to assist the novice, whom we believe
will attempt some conjuration anyway. In this way we hope to help do it
right. The CIRCLE is the witches protection against both psychic attack,
and assaults, invasions, and worse by the malignant forces which surround
us, unseen, every day of our lives.
PREPARATION
SPELLS are best performed out doors and in a wild and secluded place. The local woods or lake is perfect. prepare the area by picking up any foreign object which might be laying around, ie bottles, cigarette butts, candy wrappers, etc. One never knows what talesman might be left around to wind up within the circle. Light your incense in the censure and anoint the air while walking the circle. Angels in particular are fond of incense; especially of frankincense. Malignant forces do not like it. Generally, the size of my circle is about 7 to 20 feet in diameter, depending on the number of witches present. In general, the circle should be just large enough for the given number present to remain enclosed within, without becoming cramped, Because once the circle is cast, no one should step outside it's protection for any reason, until the spell is completed and the circle disarmed.
With a mixture of chalk and salt sprinkle a circle on the ground, and a five pointed pentagram (points touching the circle) inside. Place your 4 corner candles around the circumference of the circle so that each candle is on a compass point, N,E,S,W, around the pentagram. One candle (and subsequently one point of the pentagram) points north. You may need a compass to orient yourself with North during the day, however at night the north star(Polaris) works fine.
Set Up Your Altar
Spread out the alter cloth in the center of the circle with
the stars corresponding to those drawn on the ground. In the center of
the alter place the chalice. Picture the alter as a clock. place the alter
candle at 11, the chime at 9, the anthame at 6, the incense burner at 12,
have the holy water and the wine near to hand but off the alter.
CASTING THE CIRCLE
Light your Altar candle, and ring the Altar CHIME
once. Allow the ringing sound to hang in the air. Then stand.
Pick up the candle and move to the SUN POINT of the star.
Holding the candle on high. Say :
"O Lord, to thee do we flee for thy power! O Lord, confirm us this
work. That which works against us becomes scattered before the wind; and
the Angel of the Lord's coming, cause the darkness to vanish from us, and
the Angel of the Lord come upon us: ALPHA, OMEGA, ELY, ELOHE, ELOHIM, SABAOTH,
ELION, SADY!
And I shall open the book, and the seven SEALS of it; and I have seen Satan,
like a thunderbolt, crashing down from Heaven! It is thou who has given
us the power to destroy the dragon, and to crush all Thine enemies under
thy feet. By this invocation, and this sacred circle, we shall be protected
within by the Power of ELOY, ELOHIM, ELOHE, SABAOTH, ELION, ESARCHIE, ADONAY,
JAH, TETRAGRAMMATON, SADY! Great Michael, Prince of Archangels, Beloved
of God, Deliverer of Messages, Conqueror of Satan, Destroyer or Jerico,
and Prince of Seriphim, who sits at the right of the Almighty power,
WE CONJURE THEE! By those terrible and secret words of Power.
WE CONJURE THEE! Come to attendance, and protect us from the malignant
forces of the all the worlds.
WE CONJURE THEE! To stay as sentry for protection of all our coven within
this sacred circle.
WE CONJURE THEE! To remain with us until we shall release thee to return
to the heavens where thou dost reside. By the power of ELOY, ELOHIM, ELOHE,
SABAOTH, ELION, ESARCHIE, ADONAY, JAH, TETRAGRAMMATON, SADY! WE CONJURE
THEE, AND BID THEE WELCOME!
The earth belongith to the thy people! Open the
gates, O Princes! Lift up the Gates of Eternity. Who is the King of Glory?
We know who you are! Walk to and face the EAST: Say:
Here in the East I bring in Light and Air. This is to illuminate my temple
and bring it the breath of life."
Light the East candle from the Altar candle, and move on to the South.
Face SOUTH: Say:
"Here in the South I bring in Light and Fire to illuminate my temple
and bring it warmth."
Light the South candle from the Altar candle, and move on to the West.
Face WEST: Say:
"Here in the West I bring in Light and Water to illuminate my temple
and wash it clean."
Light the West candle from the Altar candle, and move on to the North.
Face NORTH: Say:
"Here in the North I bring in Light and Earth to illuminate my temple
and bring it strength."
Light the North candle from the Altar candle, and return to the Altar.
Replace the Altar candle and pick up your Athame.
Move to the East corner.
Point your wand or Athame down so that you "see" the edge of
the circle off of the point of the blade.
Concentrate all of your energies down through your arm into the tool. Let
the energy be released out of the tip and move around the circle deosil
"drawing" the circumference or the circle with the energy flowing
from the blade.
Go completely around the circle, finishing in the East before returning
to the Altar.
Stand again in front of the Altar, hold your Athame
in your right hand, and ring the Altar Chime with your left. Ring the bell
three times.
Put the tip of your Athame into the dish of salt and say:
"As salt is life, let it purify me in all ways that I may use it.
Let is cleanse my body and spirit as I use it in this rite dedicated to
the mightiest of Angels."
Take a pinch of salt and sprinkle it around the
rim of the circle.and say:
"Let this sacred salt delineate the sacred circle and drive out any
impurities in this earth upon which we stand, that we may use this place
together do work our Witchcraft for the benefit of this Coven in, to the
honor of the Almighty.
Take the Holy Water, begin at the sun point, and
sprinkle the water around the circle.
Return the Holy Water to the Altar.
Pick up your censure, and go around the circle
beginning in the East and ending in the East, drawing your circle with
the smoke.
Return your censure to the Altar.
Pour some Holy Water into the Chalice, add a pinch of salt. Dip your finger in the salt water and mark a cross with a circle around it over your third eye.
Dip your finger again in the salted water, and draw a pentagram over your heart.
Say:
"I consecrate myself in the name of the Arch-Angel Michael, bidding
him welcome to our temple."
Do the same for the Witch to your right. She/He in turn consecrates the
Witch to her/his right and so around the circle until all in the circle
are done.
Move again to the East and point with the Athame.
Draw a pentagram in the air over the Sun candle while letting your energy
flow down your arm into the tool.
Say:
"I conjure and I invoke thee, O Magoa, King of the East, and Angel
of Air. I do summon you to witness this rite and guard this circle. Powers
of air, protect me as I journey between worlds."
Move to the South. Draw a pentagram in the air
over the South candle while letting your energy flow down your arm into
the tool.
Say:
"I conjure and I invoke thee, O Egym, great King of the South and
Angel of Fire. I do summon you to witness this rite and guard this circle.
P owers of fire, protect me as I journey between worlds."
Move to the West. Draw a pentagram in the air
over the West candle while letting your energy flow down your arm into
the tool.
Say:
"I conjure and I invoke thee, O Baymon, great King of the West, and
Angel of Water. I do summon you to witness this rite and guard this circle.
Powers of water, protect me as I journey between worlds."
Move to the North. Draw a pentagram in the air
over the North candle while letting your energy flow down your arm into
the tool.
Say:
"I conjure and I invoke thee, O King Amaymon, thou King and Emperor
of the North and Angel of Earth. I do summon you to witness this rite and
guard this circle. Powers of earth, protect me as I journey between worlds."
Return to the altar, and raise your Athame up
high while saying:
"I hail the four corners and the Lords of the elements.
Continue to hold your told up high and say:
"This circle is now cast and we are between worlds. We are beyond
the bounds of time, where night and day, birth and death, where joy and
sorrow meet as one"
Note:
Be sure to properly
close the circle after your rituals, and be sure not to leave, or
permit anyone else to leave the circle during your ritual without opening
a "doorway" first.
It is never recommended to leave the circle (even with opening a doorway first) during magickal work.
CLOSING THE CIRCLE
Ring the Altar CHIME once. Allow the ringing sound to hang in the air. Then pick up the Alter Candle and move to the SUN POINT of the star.
Holding the candle on high. Say :
The Power of the Angel's coming, caused the darkness to vanish from us,
Let them now depart in peace. ALPHA, OMEGA, ELY, ELOHE, ELOHIM, SABAOTH,
ELION, SADY!
And I shall close the book, and the seven SEALS of it. From you O wonderous
and benificient powers do we drive our power. The mighty fallen Angel Satan,
has no power over us. It is thou who has given us the power to destroy
the dragon, and to crush all our enemies, and to afflict or bless, help
or hinder, heal or wound, protect or harm. We thank thee and pay the homage.
By this invocation, this sacred circle, shall be disapated. Let the protection
of this circle remain with the coven, long after we depart. Let us remain
protected by the Power and straingth of Great Michael, Prince of Archangels,
Beloved of God, Deliverer of Messages, Conqueror of Satan, Destroyer or
Jerico, and Prince of Seriphim, who sits at the right of the Almighty power,
and of Gabrial, Ariel, and Raphael, and all their minions.
GREAT MICHAEL WE RELEASE THEE! By those terrible and secret words of Power.
WE RELEASE THEE! Depart in peace with the gratitude and good will of the
Coven, but come again to attendance when summoned, to protect us from the
malignant forces of the all the worlds.
WE RELEASE THEE! As sentry your work is done. Our coven will leave and
disapate this sacred circle.
WE RELEASE THEE! To depart from us until we shall summon thee to return
from heavens heavens where thou dost reside. By the power of ELOY, ELOHIM,
ELOHE, SABAOTH, ELION, ESARCHIE, ADONAY, JAH, TETRAGRAMMATON, SADY! WE
CONJURE THEE, AND BID FAIR THEE WELL AND AWAY!
Point your Athame down so that you "see"
the edge of the circle off of the point of the blade.
Concentrate all of your energies TO DRAW YOUR POWER BACK FROM THE CIRCLE
INTO YOU BODY. Let the energy be drawn up into the tip and so into your
body/
and move around the circle deosil "drawing" the circumference
or the circle with the energy flowing from the blade.
Go completely around the circle, finishing in the East before returning
to the Altar.
Stand again in front of the Altar, hold your Athame
in your right hand, and ring the Altar Chime with your left.
Ring the bell three times.
Hold the alter candle high in your left hand and the Pentacle of Solomon
in the right.
In a loud and forceful voice say:
"See here your sentence. See that none revolts against our orders,
and that which orders you to return forthwith to your places!
Peace between you and us, and be ready to come every one of you when you
are bid, to fulfill all our desires.
The earth belongith to the Powers! CLOSE THE GATES!
(here blow out the alter candle still in your hand) CLOSE THE GATES, O
Princes! SHUT DOWN the Gates of Eternity. Who are the weilders of the Power?

The circle is now closed and is safe to depart. You should rake the area and remove any evidence of your circle. It is best to use the same location often as the ground itself becomes a magnet for the powers. It is not unusual to find that the entire area around the circle begins to become more alive, Flowers bloom where there were none before, and wild animals begin to frequent the area. Take care of you spot and keep it secret.
