Greetings from those of us who have jouryneyed to the "other side". It was not our wish to leave those we loved behind, but this was a road we had to take alone for nobody could walk it for us; we had to walk it by ourselves. It was our time.
We are your husband, wife, brothers, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and your children. While we were a part of the living we had a heart, soul, body, and mind. We laughed, we cried, and in the end, we died.
Even though we have had many misfortunes during this century....wars, the depression, scandals, civil rights protests, along with others-to numerous to mention-people are basically good. But you must take the mistakes that were made in the past and learn from them. Never forget those who paid the price of freedom with their lives to make this world a better place for the children to grow up in, a chance at life, something to believe in.
One more thing. Do not forget those who became victims from violent crimes, car accidents, suicides, and the homeless, for they also have a story to tell. To die alone is a tragedy, but to be remembered as a statistic is worse.
