Matt had a great birthday!

He was surprised when he came home from work Saturday night.
He found the table set up with balloons and birthday cupcakes.

We took him out for his birthday dinner.
He chose steak and lobster!

On Sunday the 4th, Matt and Craig (along with another friend)
went to the Monster Truck Rally!
That was Matt's first time to one of those.
He had a great time.

Matt received a lot of nice gifts from his family.
A portable CD player from Craig and I
An official Ohio State  jersey from his Aunt Mendy and Uncle Mike
Money (a teenager's best friend) from his Grandparents, Great Aunts,
Great-Grandma and Craig's Mom and Aunt.
He also got cards from friends.

My little boy is growing up and turning into quite a young man..
Our conversations now are about driving, cars, working and dating.
He reminds me all the time that he is finally taller than I am,
and teases me because he has to "bend down" to give me a hug.
Thank goodness he hasn't outgrown giving me hugs.
I hope he never does.

The name Matthew means, "Gift from God".
Matt is truly a gift from above.
