Study history. The farther back you look the farther forward you can look. Machiavelli realized centuries ago that human history repeats because human nature does not change. If you want to change human history you have to know how to alter historical patterns. If you are very gifted and lucky, you may be able to change human nature a little bit in a positive fashion. Two. Keep opponents guessing at what you will do next. Sun Tzu discusses the importance of this in The Art of War. Three. Discuss your plans in great detail and multiple ways to solve probelms. Attack problems the way that wars are won. Wars are often more easily won when multiple fronts are used. Four. Welcome negative feedback. Embrace negative feedback. Do not shoot the messenger. If you have a problem receiving negative feedback on small things, you will probably not survive when big things go wrong. Five. Read! Read! Read! Six. Listen! Listen! Listen! Seven. Continually question your policies and motives so you are prepared for other people especially the media to questions your policies and motives. Eight. Use the weapons opponents hand to you on a silver platter when you think this is appropriate. JAPAN I want Japan to increase the amount of money it spends on its Airforce, Navy, and Army significantly. I want Japan to build airplanes, tanks, and ships in Japan. I want the United States of America and Japan to have more joint military training missions. I want the United States of America and Japan to have more junior high school, high school, and college student exchange programs. I want the United States of America to sign a trade treaty with Japan at least as good as the one the United States of America has with Canada. I want the United States of America and Japan to have a joint space research and development program. I hope that Russia and China will also participate in a space research and development program with the United States of America and Japan. SOME OF MY INTERNATIONAL LAWS My international laws apply to all countries including the United States of America. I hope that other countries will make sure the United States of America obeys my international laws. KEN STREMSKY'S INTERNATIONAL LAW NUMBER ONE. If a country is attacked and wins land in a war, the country should usually not give the land back. If a country is the aggressor and wins land in a war, sometimes it should give the land back. KEN STREMSKY'S INTERNATIONAL LAW NUMBER TWO. If a country wins land in a war, the government of the country should not force civilians off their land. The government of the country should pay the civilians just compensation for the land if it wants to use the land. The country should offer the civilians that live in the land it conquered full citizenship rights including the right to vote, full civil liberties protections, the right to serve in the military if they meet the qualifications, and the right to hold elective office if they qualify. KEN STREMSKY'S INTERNATIONAL LAW NUMBER THREE A country that has fair elections and human rights should be treated better than a country that has fair elections and/or human rights missing. I do not have a problem with Israel keeping the West Bank and the Gaza strip because Israel won them after it was attacked. I have a major problem with Israel not granting the Palestinians who live in the West Bank and Gaza Strip full Israeli citizenship including the same civil liberties protections that Jews have, the right to vote, the right to serve in the Israeli military if they qualify, and the right to serve in Parliament including the right to be Prime Minister of Israel. If Israel does not give the Palestinians who live in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and other parts of Israel full citizenship rights or allow a Palestinian state to be created on the West Bank and Gaza Strip before January 1, 2004, the United States of America and other countries should not send Israel foreign aid and military hardware. They should also not trade with Israel. Israel should not be treating Palestinians the way that Jews were treated in ghettos in Poland. My mother lives in Israel and I have been unhappy with the policy of the United States of America towards Israel for more than a decade. I think current U.S. policy towards Israel hurts Israel more than helps it. I also believe that a Palestinian state would exist in the West Bank and Gaza Strip now if Palestinians had not decided to become human bombs. The Palestinians seized defeat from the jaws of victory. If a Palestinian state does not exist in the future, the Palestinians only have themselves to blame because most of Israel's population was willing to accept a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip a few years ago before Palestinians decided to become human bombs. AUGUST 24, 2002 LETTER TO THE TELEGRAPH Dear Telegraph: I am running for the United States Senate from New Hampshire as a Republican and I agree with you that "Attaining high office should be open to all and on an equal playing field." The following ideas will help equalize the playing field. In future elections before primary election day, New Hampshire Public Television should give each candidate for United States Senate, United States House of Representatives, and Governor at least two hours of free advertising time. New Hampshire Public Television is giving me about five minutes on NH Outlook on August 26 at 10pm on Channel 11. Newspapers will hopefully post transcripts of devates involving United States Senate candidates, United States House of Representative candidates, and Governor candidates on newspaper websites. WMUR-TV should allow all candidates for United States Senate, United States House of Representatives, and Governor to participate in televised debates. In the future before primary elections, WMUR-TV should have at least three debates each for United States Senate candidates, United States House of Representative candidates, and Governor candidates. Hopefully before the general election, WMUR-TV will have at least three debates each for United States Senate candidates, United States House of Representative candidates, and Governor candidates. WMUR-TV and the Union Leader are not allowing me to participate in the August 29 United States Senate debate. The media should give equal coverage to candidates running for elective office. The Union Leader continually forgets to mention that I am running for the United States Senate when it mentions my opponents. I live in Manchester and the Union Leader has not interviewed me. I live in Manchester and WMUR-TV has not interviewed me probably because I have not bought any television advertising from them. WMUR-TV has also decided not to post on its website my answers to questions WMUR-TV mailed to me. The Telegraph interviewed me in Manchester. Foster's Daily Democrat interviewed me over the phone. If the media gives candidates who spend little or no money on advertising equal coverage to those candidates who spend a great deal on advertising, a more equal playing field will exist for people who run for high office. Hopefully, voters will demand that candidates post information on the League of Women Voters website which is http://www.dnet.org before primary election day so that they may more easily compare the candidates on the issues. WMUR-TV let me know it received my answers. WMUR-TV never asked me to shorten my answers. My information was not on WMUR-TV's website for more than a month. Education: I believe that public money should be allowed to go to private k-12 schools, people should be allowed to deduct from their yearly federal taxes the full cost of paying for education for themselves and family members for k-12 education, college education, and graduate education. I believe that the Federal Government should pay for and create with many colleges and businesses federal education websites on the internet which will be free to use and will help students learn art, music, history, mathematics, science, geography, foreign languages, and other subjects. Gun Control: Amendment Two of the United States Constitution talks about the militia and Article One of the United States Constitution in Section Eight gives Congress the power to decide who may and may not be part of the militia as well as the ability to decide which types of guns may be made in the United States of America, which types of guns may be sold in the United States of America, who may buy guns in the United States of America, and waiting periods because Congress has the ability to regulate commerce which is also mentioned in Article One, Section Eight. I believe that if only the government and criminals have guns that most Americans will lose their civil liberties and that it is very unlikely that anything the government does will keep criminals from getting guns because the War on Drugs has not kept millions of people from obtaining illegal drugs. The Federal Government should allow a person to deduct the first $50,000 in yealry income the person obtains from interest from savings accounts, dividends, and capital gains and that States will improve their economies if they reduce their taxes especially sales taxes which decrease consumption and increase unemployment. The Federal Government should try to have trade agreements with other countries that are win for us and win for them and the Federal Government should pass Tort Reform that will encourage more businesses to innovate. Health Care: The Federal Government should allow people to deduct the full cost of yearly health care expenses from their federal taxes and the Federal Government should create a National Health Maintenance Organization similar to the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program and that non profit health insurers and for profit health insurers should be allowed to compete against the National Health Maintenance Organization. (I said Health Employees.) The Federal Government should use Bayh-Dole which is discussed on Duke University's website at http://www.duke.edu to lower prescription drug prices prices, should include a prescription drug component in Medicare, should make Medicare more like the Federal Employees Health Benefits program discussed on the website of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management located at http://www.opm.gov., that Medicare should continue to have a part of it run by a Federal Government Agency, and the Federal Government should pass Tort Reform which will probably reduce medical malpractice insurance and other health care expenses. Abortion: I believe that there should be limits on government power, that no government should have the power to force women to have abortions, that no government should be able to keep women from having abortions, that the Federal Government should have policies that will make it easier for people to adopt children, that the Federal Government help pay for and run orphanages, the Federal Government should provide health care clinics with significant funding so that they can provide free birth control for men and women, and the Federal Government should make sure that birth control methods proven safe in other countries will probably be used in this country. I believe that women have the same "unalienable Rights" that men have and "that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness." SHORT BIOGRAPHY The following is a short biography. I drank alcohol occasionally between 10 years of age and 18 years of age because I wanted to be like European teenagers. I went to Spring Street Junior High School. I cheated on an Anatomy and Physiology makeup exam when I was a student at Nashua Senior High School. I graduated from Nashua High School in 1988.
