I remember lazy, lovely days.
You, precious baby, on your blanket,
laughing at your toes in the air.
Me, watching you, filled with awe.

The summer sun smiled at us,
while character clouds floated by.
Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Big Bird,
cute critters in the sky.

Id reach and tickle your tummy,
drink in that new baby smell.
The birds sang lullabies for us.
The squirrels came with tales to tell.

The angels brought us those days,
happy and innocently sweet.
Days to pack in a memory book,
kissed with love, forever to keep.

Written for Paul.
