The original plan was that the cake would be a
3-tier cake ....but.... the bottom layer ( on the right) when we tried to put the second layer on, the columns sank into the bottom layer, because the bottom had an egg custard filling that made the cake toooooo moist to support the added weight. So then we ended up with 3 separate cakes. The middle layer was a white cake as was the bottom, but it had a cream plain filling.
The top layer was a dark chocolate cake with a raspberry filling. I must admit that in spite of the dilemma ,the entire cake was a very tasty "Diabetic" fix ! Yummmmmmm ! Almost makes me want to do it again ... It's not often that I have that much cake in my grasp!
