THE MEANING OF FREEDOM
F is for the flag we fly with pride so very high.
The banner colors of red, white and blue contrasting against the sky.
Each state represented by a star. Each stripe for purity and valor.
The blue is for our vigilance, united we stand like no other.

R is for religion--a freedom we all cherish.
It's a right that God has granted and by His will it will not perish.
This nation was founded by men of God, so each person here could pray,
That peace will be among all mankind each and every day.

E is for the eagle, our symbol that flies so high.
It's might wings spread out so wide, seeing clearly through each eye.
He shows no hint of quitting, nor any sign of fear.
His strength and courage go on and on despite the storm that's near.

E The second E stands for everybody, and that includes all races.
Knowing when we work together, we lessen obstacles each of us faces.
Our children learn to play together regardless of their heritage.
For as a nation, we stick together with power and with courage.

D is for the death of those who paid the ultimate price.
Without their loyalty and conviction, this nation could not rise.
Although we may not know each name, let's bow our head and pause,
For tears were shed by those who lost a loved one for this cause.

O is for the oath we took to defend our constitution.
We freely give our life to serve each other and our nation.
We'll fight until the very end to keep our families safe.
We'll fight for justice, truth and life and above all our faith.

M is for the monuments you'll find throughout our nation.
Reminders of the work done there no matter where we're stationed.
The Statue of Liberty, the golden gate, and don't forget the wall,
The liberty bell, Mount Rushmore, can be observed by all.

Freedom is seen different, to each and every person.
To some it is to speak their mind with logic and with reason.
Our families grow and dreams come true within our community.
This great nation will always be a land of opportunity.
