The advances in Information Technology have revolutionized the field of  Radiology and Medical Imaging. It is clear that Radiology departments are now becoming  more and more digital. In addition, Radiology is heavily using the IT services in exploring electronic systems in their daily clinical operations and research work. Many IT professionals, however, do not have an idea on the demands of a radiologist. The radiologist in turn trained very  little in IT. It is therefore essential to have a forum where the  radiologists and the Computer experts / engineers to interact, understand the subject, and undertake research in this area and to exchange ideas. This will give an opportunity for the Computer Scientists and the Radiologists to work together for better patient care.
