Principles of Management course which prepares the IT specialists for an effective Managerial world.
Management is a field giving orientation for understanding the requirement of the future IT professionals in terms of managing the team members, making decisions, analysing the environment and so on. It also further prepares the students on the functional areas of Management, and analytical skills.

Preparing the students to expose to the management world.
Objectives
1. To train basic and applied fields of Management
2. To improve the Managerial skills
Each member of the class is expected to arrive on time and to participate fully in all of the exercises as well as in the class discussions which follow them. Constitutes 15% of the grade.
YOUR FINAL GRADE WILL BE BASED ON THE FOLLOWING: Top
A. The above mentioned requirements. Your grade on the presentations is based on your preparation, fulfillment of the assignment parameters and skill improvement throughout the course.
B. Final exam - constitutes 10% of your grade.
C. The Institute Policy requires Communication students to attend all classes.
D. Attendance - In as much as this class is based on communication skills, your presence in this class is absolutely necessary. Absence from a technique class such as this for even one session invalidates the progressive development of your work. YOU CANNOT MAKE UP WORK in this type of situation. YOU SIMPLY CANNOT BE ABSENT. Unexcused absences will affect your grade. Please consider the following before you choose to stay with the course:
(1) CLASS
PARTICIPATION
Since the course is designed as a seminar, it is expected that students come prepared to discuss the assigned readings of the week and if possible introduce relevant current events into class discussion. The first part of class will generally be in a lecture format, followed by a class discussion during the second half of class. We want you to come to all classes. All classes are interesting, important and thought provoking.
(2) MIDTERM
You will have a Mid Term Evaluation based on your performance in a test and practical. You will also expected
to do a project on one of the topics.
(3) FINAL
You will have a Mid Term Evaluation based on your performance in a test and practical. You will also expected
to do a project on one of the topics. The final exam will be due April 2005.
(4) TERM PAPER—This requirement must relate to the issues discussed in this class. The paper may either be an individual or two-student effort. Students must turn in a one-page proposal to the instructors by and have my approval in writing by last week of August 2004. Since you worked so hard on this project, a class presentation will also be expected on the last day of class on April 2005.
