The Course

The Internet continues to spread rapidly among most groups in the world regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age or location.  The rate of acceptance is increasing among the middle and lower brackets. Older generations and the rural masses are likely to have Internet access. This will enable the E-Commerce among the masses. Although much of this course focuses on E-Commerce and Business Models, it is important to state at the outset electronic commerce is more than that. Electronic commerce is more than selling stuff online; it's using online resources and tools to do business better--more efficiently and productively. It's about making and saving money online. E-commerce can work for any business because it involves the whole business cycle from production, procurement, distribution, sales, payment, fulfillment, restocking, and marketing. It's about relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, and distributors.

The Speaker

Dr. K.Balaji is a Theoretical Computer Scientist, works in the area of E-Commerce in India Research Lab, IBM, New Delhi for the last 4 years. He is a Ph.D in Mathematics (Graph Theory) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He has many International and National Publications to his credit. He also patented some of his works from IBM.

The course will be of immense interest to the IT Professionals, Academicians, the Online Traders, and Specialists irrespective of specialties. The programme methodology will include Case Studies, Software demonstrations, Exercises, and Lectures. Participants will be provided Desktops for hands on training for developing E-Commerce sites.
