KSO(C) was not established n a day, behind this glorious  day, there were people who spare no efforts to make this day possible. Their contribution and sacrifice will always motivate the younger generation to achieve higher things and work earnestly for our society. The founding members had to pursue this dream of forming an organization for our students against all odds. In the end, their patience hardwork and perseverance won the day and thus KSO (C) came into being on the 6th September 1998.

Mr. Paotinlen and Khotinmang Khongsai had planned a meeting of students at Scottish Church College duff Hostel but it did not materialized as most of the stude4nts had gone home before the 10th November 1997. Though the need to form an organization was strongly felt but all, meetings were not feasible as students were engaged in academic schedule. In this one year many students and families residing in Calcutta gave their support for the cause of forming KSO (C). This small effort and personal contact culminated into a movement of all KUKI students of Calcutta.

The Historic Meeting on the 14th of August 1998 at Serampore College was the turning point in the chapter of Kuki Students' struggle and effort to form KSO(C). The delegates from R.E.C. (D) : Paotinlen Chongloi, Lenkholal Gangte and from Serampore Theological College :  Lalboi Haokip, Nehcha Chongloi, Thanglet Khongsai attended. The delegates from Scottish Church College could not make it as they had a previous engagement. It was decided at the meeting that a general body meeting of kuki Students' Organization of Calcutta will be called on the 6th September 1998. Mr. Paotinlen Chongloi and Lalboi Haokip were asked to be the convener of the meeting. Lily K Gangte and Themboi Khongsai(BHMS) were given the responsibility of informing and contacting students and family members residing in Calcutta. On the 6th September 1998, the KSO (C) became a reality. The effort and help extended by the families residing in Calcutta was exemplary motivating. Thus the KSO (C) was established through this students movement. The following students were elected unanimously to the first KSO (C) executive committee :
