Ideal apperance for a male is 11in tall and bitches are about 10in. Normal weight is 13 to 19 LBS. Light hearted and outgoing they are full of life and courageous, easy to train and catch on quickly.
The Westies coat needs little grooming they have a wiry top coat and soft under coat it is very resistant to dirt and sheds very little.
Westies generally get along with other pets and are wonderful with children. They do not bark with out cause but will report unusal noises and are always ready to protect their family. This breed makes a woderful family pets.
