Full Name: Robert Kelly Slater D.O.B.: February 11, 1972 (that makes him 29) Birthplace: Cocoa Beach, Florida Siblings: Sean & Stephen Marital Status: I think he's single, but I'm sure he has a girlfriend. Children: 1 daughter - Taylor Jocelyn Wheeler, born June 4, 1996. Taylor resides with her mother in Florida. World Titles: 6 (my favorite number!): 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, & 1998. Unfortunately, Kelly didn't surf the 1999 tour, as he retired. But, he does still surf some events. Hobbies: Golf, playing his guitar, singing, writing music, ping-pong, and surfing (duh!). Band: THE SURFERS, made up of Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, and Peter King. They put out 1 album a few years ago and also played several shows (which I attended 3-I'm a good groupie!). |
