SENTENCE- is a group of words expressing a complete thought. It has a subject and a predicate. The subject is that part of  the sentence which names a person, place or a thing about which a statement is made. The predicate is that part of the sentence which tells something about the subject.
SENTENCE FRAGMENT- lacks one or both of the essential elements of a sentence.
