We are in 8th grade at Progress Village Middle Magnet School Of The Arts where every student is a *STAR*.
8th grade students will host a multi-generational, multi-cultural 1920's extravaganza on November 18th 2003.
The 8th graders will be showing off their talents. The following is a planned program for the night;
-showing of silent movies made by students
-antique car show
-skits
-musical pieces by the jazz band including zuit suit riot and tin roof blues
-monologues developed by the students portraying certain characters of the 1920's
-dances
-replicas of vintage clothing designed and made by the students
All of the proceeds will go towards the renovation of the Cornerstone Community Center in Plant City. The building was constructed in the 1920's and once housed First Baptist Church.We want to show the community that teens are not selfish or little trouble makers and that we can and will change the world.
