Nikko (October 26)

The founder of the Edo Bakufu government, Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu was enshrined in Nikko Toshogu in the 17th century. In addition to Toshogu shrines, there are lots of historical sites in Nikko.

Access to Nikko

The Tobu limited express "Specia Kegon" is the fastest from Tokyo Asakusa, but if you have a Japan rail pass, take Tohoku Shinkansen to Utsunomiya and transfer to JR Nikko line.
