On February 13 Steve and I went to the Gates in Central Park, which was a public art installation by the artists Christo and Jean-Claude. It was like a big parade and everyone who showed up was in it. And that was quite a feat since this February was quite cold. Steve even made it to the Channel 4 news.
The bottom of the fabric was a few feet from everyone's heads. I pictured little boys running through the park to jump up and touch every panel - like the boys in my middle school did to touch door ways or ceilings. And I saw a couple of boys jump to touch the tips of the panels, but I didn't catch them with my camera.
