Dr. Park received his B.S. in Electronics Engineering in 1975 from Hanyang University in Korea and M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico in 1982 and 1985, respectively. He was Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Auburn University, Alabama, 1985-1989. He has been with Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where he is Professor and Chairman of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, since 1989. He has been a technical consultant for the BDM Corporation in Albuquerque, NM, since 1988. He is a primary author of more than 20 technical papers in the areas of parameter estimation, radar signal processing, and speech processing. Dr. Park is a registered professional engineer and a senior member of IEEE. He is presently a principal investigator of a 3-year research project in the area of signal compression funded by NASA.
