Sultry Thoughts
In this cold starry lonely
night I ponder again
Look back and see what did this soul lose, what did it gain
In the sands of time I see my footprints I have chalked
I have stumbled ran stood up slipped and walked
I see in my hands and heart what I gather along the way
A faith, a true friendship some respect and someone's love came my way
I bundled all I could in my ever so little reach
I never thought such sweet and sour lessons life would teach
Sometimes I feel I have lived enough and cant breath any more
But then I ponder over my thoughts, feeling and dreams I have bore
In this abyss of hurt and no joy, I know now what I have to do
Be true to my heart and be fair to my living yes I need to
And so with true heart I vow to be a friend of a friend
with honest living I vow to love and respect every happiness all through
the end
