Glad shall I be the day my body's cast
is left to rest in peace at last.
And when my life will be in its new mould
I presume I shall forget my human life of old.
When I am buried beneath the stone
I know I shall lie all alone.
But a new life will begin to bloom,
once I am buried in my tomb.
This soul of mine will then be flown
to a land where I am never to be alone
A land where I shall always be free
as free as a dove soaring on the wide blue sea.
No longer do I want to be tied to misery
with a heavy chain called life.
But this chain will break one day
and then I shall soar away.
